Sections are the ordering areas in your venue (e.g. Patio, Bar, VIP). Location Areas are the individual tables or spots within those sections that guests scan a QR code to order from. This guide walks you through creating both.

Part 1 — Create a New Section

1. Log in to your Vēmos dashboard at dashboard.vemos.io
2. Click the menu button in the top left
3. Click Settings
4. Click Floor Plan
5. Click Section
6. Click Create Section and name your new section

Part 2 — Add Location Areas (Tables) to the Section

1. Click New Area inside your newly created section
2. Under Area Type, select Location

Important: Selecting Location will generate Vēmos Pay QR codes for that area. Checks under this type will not be tied to a physical POS table. If you need View & Pay or Order at Table functionality, create the tables in your POS first and pull them into Vēmos using the Pull from POS button in Floor Plan.

1. Click the newly created section to open it
2. Create your new location (table) name

Note: Use one word with no spaces — e.g. PATIO1 or PATIO-1

1. Click Create Location to save
